Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. corn bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. light bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion

Instructions

  1. Boil chicken until tender.
  2. Make dumplings by combining corn bread crumbs, light bread crumbs, cracker crumbs, egg, and chopped onion; form into balls.
  3. Drop the dumplings into broth often, adding a little milk as needed.
  4. Thicken the broth with a mixture of flour and water, then pour into the broth with the dumplings to finish cooking.
