Ingredients

  • 3 lb. cut stew meat
  • 5-6 potatoes, peeled and cut into large cubes
  • 5-6 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 large onion, cut into chunks

Instructions

  1. Roll the stew meat in a mixture of flour, salt, and pepper until coated, then brown in vegetable oil.
  2. Place the browned meat in a pressure cooker, using a rack if desired to prevent scorching.
  3. Add the potatoes, carrots, and onions to the pressure cooker.
  4. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Pour 1 cup of water over the vegetables.
  6. Cook at 15 pounds of pressure for 30 minutes.
