Ingredients

  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/4 c. raisins
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add raisins, butter and soda; remove from heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs.
  4. Add sugar, flour, vanilla and salt and stir into raisin mixture.
