Ingredients

  • 3 medium cucumbers
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Pare cucumbers and scoop out seeds.
  2. Slice cucumbers very thinly, using a grater if preferred.
  3. Drain cucumbers in a colander for at least 2 hours, or overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Combine drained cucumbers with chopped onion, sour cream, and mayonnaise in a bowl.
  5. Mix thoroughly, then add sugar, salt, and pepper to taste.
  6. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours before serving.
