Ingredients

  • 1 lb butter or oleo
  • 2 c sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 lb candied fruit
  • 4 c flour
  • 2 oz lemon flavoring
  • 1 lb chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Divide the batter in half.
  3. Bake each half for 2 1/2 hours at 250°F.
  4. Alternatively, bake in a single pan for the same duration.
  5. The cake yields approximately 6 1/4 pounds.
