Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups seedless raisins
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon or 1 tablespoon vinegar

Instructions

  1. Boil the raisins in water for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Combine the cooked raisin mixture with the sugar and cinnamon, then add lemon juice or vinegar.
  4. Let the filling cool.
  5. Pour the filling into a pie crust.
  6. Cover with the top crust.
  7. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes, then reduce temperature to 375°F and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
