Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. ground almonds
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 to 3/4 tsp. almond or vanilla extract
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar and ground almonds; save 1/2 cup for topping.
  2. Beat in egg yolks, egg white and almond or vanilla extract.
  3. Add flour and baking powder. Mix well and refrigerate.
