Ingredients

  • 2 or 3 lb. moose stew meat
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 soup can white wine
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix
  • mushrooms as desired (any kind)
  • 1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
  • cooked noodles or rice
  • cornstarch (if needed)

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 300°.
  2. In a large ovenproof container, mix meat, soup, wine and soup mix.
  3. Cover and place in oven for as long as you wish (no less than 2 hours and no more than 4 hours).
  4. Remove from oven; stir in mushrooms and sour cream.
  5. If mixture is too thin, stir in 2 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in a little water, and simmer slightly.
  6. Serve over noodles or rice.
