Moroccan Onion Rings

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Mild Curry Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Fresh/ Ground Ginger
  • 1 piece Large Onion
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Caster Sugar
  • Salt And Pepper

Instructions

  1. * Preheat the oven to 200 C/Gas Mark 6.
  2. * In a small bowl, mix cumin, cinnamon, curry powder and ginger together.
  3. * dip each piece of onion into the spice mixture and place into a baking dish.
  4. * Drizzle the onions with olive oil and pour the two tbsp of water into the dish. Cover the dish and bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes.
  5. * Remove the baking dish from the oven, uncover and sprinkle the onions with sugar.
  6. * Return the dish to the oven, this time uncovered and cook for another 15 minutes.
  7. * Serve with Moroccan chicken or Middle Eastern Rice.
