Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup white Karo corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup pecan halves or pieces

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar with a spoon, then add the eggs.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Add the salt and syrup to the butter mixture and cook over hot water for 5 minutes.
  4. Add vanilla and pecans.
  5. Pour into a pie shell and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
