Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 slices fatback
  • 1/4 lb bacon
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 small bottle ketchup
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • fish
  • water
  • seasoning

Instructions

  1. Brown the slices of fatback in a pot, then add the bacon and cook until crispy.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in ketchup and add enough water to reach desired thickness.
  4. Add tomato paste to the mixture.
  5. Season with a teaspoon of black pepper.
  6. Add half a teaspoon of hot sauce and bring to a boil.
  7. Add one tablespoon of salt.
  8. Cut the fish into small pieces and add to the stew.
  9. Cook everything together for about 15 minutes until fish is tender.
