Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 packets yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons Crisco
  • 3 or 4 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Mix Crisco, salt, and sugar together; add beaten egg.
  3. Add the cup of warm water and enough flour to make a stiff dough. Let rise until double in size.
  4. Punch down the dough and roll out.
  5. Put the rolls in pans to rise again.
  6. Bake until done at 350°F.
