- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, place butter and put in oven until melted.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven.
- While the butter is melting, mix together the self-rising flour, sugar, and milk.
- Peel and cut up the fruit.
- Pour the liquid mixture over the melted butter in the hot baking dish.
- Add the prepared fruit over the batter without mixing.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 1 1/2 hours or until browned.
