Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 to 3 cups fresh fruit (peaches, apples, or blueberries)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, place butter and put in oven until melted.
  3. Remove the baking dish from the oven.
  4. While the butter is melting, mix together the self-rising flour, sugar, and milk.
  5. Peel and cut up the fruit.
  6. Pour the liquid mixture over the melted butter in the hot baking dish.
  7. Add the prepared fruit over the batter without mixing.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 1 1/2 hours or until browned.
