Ingredients

  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded processed American cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced mild green chilies
  • 1 cup coarsely crushed tortilla chips
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. plain flour
  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Combine cream of chicken soup, shredded processed American cheese, diced green chilies, and sliced green onions in a medium bowl.
  2. Stir together to blend.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix plain flour and milk until smooth.
  4. Add the milk mixture to the soup mixture, stirring to combine.
  5. Place 1/3 cup of crushed tortilla chips in the bottom of a 10 x 6 x 2-inch dish.
  6. Top with half of the soup mixture, then half of the shredded chicken.
  7. Repeat layers, ending with the remaining soup mixture.
  8. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of cheese over the top.
  9. Bake in a 350°F oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until heated through.
  10. Sprinkle remaining tortilla chips around the edge of the dish before serving.
