Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 heaping tablespoon quick rise yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon oil (cooking)
  • pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce
  • pepperoni or your choice meat
  • mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, quick rise yeast, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Combine hot water with corn syrup and oil, ensuring the mixture cools to lukewarm to avoid killing the yeast.
  3. Add the water mixture to the flour mixture and stir until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough with additional flour until smooth and elastic.
  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly oiled pizza stone or pan.
  6. Spread pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce over the dough.
  7. Cover with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Add pepperoni or your preferred meat and other toppings.
  9. Bake at 400 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit until cheese is melted and browned and crust is done.
