Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • shortening for browning
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of chicken soup

Instructions

  1. Cut the round steak into serving pieces.
  2. Mix salt and pepper with flour.
  3. Brown the steak in shortening, cooking just long enough to brown both sides.
  4. Drain the steak on paper towels.
  5. Mix the cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soups with two cans of water in a baking dish or roaster.
  6. Add the browned steak to the soup mixture.
  7. Cover the dish or roaster.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
