Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using olive oil instead of regular vegetable oil. You can also substitute fresh minced garlic for the garlic powder for a more intense taste. If you don't have Kitchen Bouquet, a mix of soy sauce and a bit of brown sugar can work as a substitute. Make sure to rub the baste evenly for the best results.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the turkey with classic sides like mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, or stuffing for a traditional holiday meal. A refreshing Tomato Cabbage Soup can also complement the rich flavors of the turkey. For an added touch, consider drizzling Spicy Apple Syrup over the turkey slices for a sweet contrast.

Storage & Reheating

After the turkey has cooled, store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. To reheat, place slices in a microwave-safe dish with a bit of broth or water to keep them moist, covering with a damp paper towel. Heat in 30-second intervals until warmed through.
