Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. melted Crisco
  • flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in the warm water.
  2. Add salt, sugar, melted Crisco, and enough flour to handle the dough like biscuits.
  3. Let dough rise in a container until double in bulk, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  4. Roll out the dough, cut into rolls, and dip each roll in melted shortening or margarine, then fold.
  5. Let the rolls rise again.
  6. Bake at 450°F until done.
