Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs slightly, then add sugar, milk, vanilla, and salt, and mix well.
  2. Place the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until steam shows.
  3. Remove from heat and pour into a 9-inch unbaked pie shell.
  4. Sprinkle with nutmeg on top.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until a silver knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the pie cool slightly before serving.
