Ingredients

  • 4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3 c. powdered sugar
  • 8 Tbsp. creme de menthe

Instructions

  1. Melt the first 4 squares of chocolate and oleo; set aside.
  2. Combine eggs and sugar; add flour.
  3. Add the melted chocolate and oleo to the egg mixture.
  4. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
  5. Allow the brownies to cool.
  6. Combine powdered sugar, oleo, and creme de menthe to make the frosting.
  7. Spread the frosting on the cooled first layer and chill.
  8. Melt the remaining 4 squares of chocolate and 4 tablespoons of oleo.
  9. Spread this chocolate layer on top of the chilled frosting.
  10. Cut into squares before the chocolate hardens; mint flavor is retained better if frozen.
