Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a cookie sheet with foil.
  3. Finely chop the nuts.
  4. Beat egg whites until foamy.
  5. Gradually add sugar and vanilla to the egg whites.
  6. Beat until stiff peaks form.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
  8. Drop teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared cookie sheet.
  9. Place the cookies in the oven and immediately turn the oven off.
  10. Leave the oven door shut for 8 hours before removing the cookies.
