Ingredients

  • 1 box Twinkie snack cakes (8 to 10 individual cakes)
  • 1 large box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 large container Cool Whip
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple, drain almost all of juice
  • 1/2 to 1 cup chopped pecan pieces

Instructions

  1. In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, slice Twinkie snack cakes in half lengthwise and place the filling side up in the dish.
  2. Slice enough Twinkies to completely cover the bottom of the dish.
  3. Layer banana slices over the Twinkies.
  4. Spread crushed pineapple over the bananas.
  5. Pour prepared vanilla pudding over the pineapple layer, ensuring it is soft set.
  6. Smooth Cool Whip over the pudding layer.
  7. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the Cool Whip.
  8. Refrigerate until ready to serve, then spoon out and enjoy.
