Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. soft butter
  • 1/3 c. Karo syrup (red label)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla or any flavoring
  • 3 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Blend butter, Karo syrup, salt, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add sifted powdered sugar all at once.
  3. Mix with a spoon, then knead with hands until well blended and smooth.
  4. Turn onto a board and continue kneading until mixture is smooth.
  5. Shape into candies and store in a cool place.
