Ingredients

  • 1 (No. 2) can cherry pie filling
  • 2 cups crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1 1/2 cups grated coconut
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix

Instructions

  1. Spread cherry pie filling into a greased 14 x 10-inch pan.
  2. Pour crushed pineapple with juice over the cherry pie filling.
  3. Cover the mixture with grated coconut and pecans.
  4. Spread the dry cake mix evenly over the layered ingredients.
  5. Place pats of butter over the entire top of the cake.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes or until browned.
  7. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
