Instructions
- Mix shortening or margarine, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla well.
- Mix flour, salt, soda, and baking powder together.
- Add the well mixed dry ingredients to the sugar mixture.
- When thoroughly combined, add Rice Krispies, oatmeal, coconut, nuts, and raisins or chocolate chips.
- Dough will be very stiff.
- Bake in a moderate oven about 10 minutes.
- Do not overbake if you like chewy cookies!
