Ingredients

  • 2 c. shortening or margarine
  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 c. Rice Krispies
  • 4 c. oatmeal
  • 2 c. coconut
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 2 c. raisins or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix shortening or margarine, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla well.
  2. Mix flour, salt, soda, and baking powder together.
  3. Add the well mixed dry ingredients to the sugar mixture.
  4. When thoroughly combined, add Rice Krispies, oatmeal, coconut, nuts, and raisins or chocolate chips.
  5. Dough will be very stiff.
  6. Bake in a moderate oven about 10 minutes.
  7. Do not overbake if you like chewy cookies!
