- Precook the egg noodles; drain and set aside.
- Lightly brown the onion rings in butter.
- Add half of the cooked noodles to a 3-quart casserole bowl or 9 x 12-inch baking dish.
- Top with 1 pint of sour cream and half of the browned onion rings.
- Add one can of creamed corn.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining noodles, sour cream, onion rings, and creamed corn.
- Place several pads of butter on top.
- Bake uncovered at 325°F until hot, about 30 minutes.
