- Saute the chicken livers and half of the diced onions in a heavy frying pan until the onions are golden brown and the livers have turned light brown.
- Transfer the cooked livers and onions into a chopping bowl.

- Chop together until coarse and blended, or put through a food grinder.
- Do not puree the mixture.
- Add the chopped hard-boiled eggs.
- Refrigerate and serve with crackers or rye bread.
