Hungarian Noodles
Hungarian Noodles is a creamy, savory dish featuring tender noodles combined with a rich mixture of cottage cheese, sour cream, and flavorful seasonings. Enhanced with onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and optional poppy seeds, it offers a comforting taste that suits family dinners and special gatherings alike.
Ingredients
- 15 oz. can chicken broth ⓘ
- 3 chicken bouillon cubes ⓘ
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped onion ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1/2 Tbsp. chopped garlic ⓘ
- dash hot pepper sauce ⓘ
- 16 oz. container cottage cheese ⓘ
- 16 oz. container sour cream ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. poppy seed (optional) ⓘ
- 16 oz. pkg. medium noodles, cooked and drained ⓘ
- grated Parmesan cheese ⓘ
Instructions
- Cook noodles and drain.
- Meanwhile, heat chicken broth and dissolve bouillon cubes in it.
- Pour the broth mixture into a large bowl.
- Add cream of mushroom soup, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, and poppy seed if using.
- Mix well. Stir in cottage cheese, sour cream, and cooked noodles.
- Pour the mixture into a large greased (3-quart) casserole dish or two medium casserole dishes.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and paprika.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes or until heated through.
