Ingredients

  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups self-rising flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups nuts
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream oleo and sugar together until smooth.
  2. Add self-rising flour to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  3. Stir in vanilla and finely chopped nuts.
  4. Shape the dough into thin finger-like strips.
  5. Bake on a cookie sheet in a 275°F (135°C) oven for approximately 45 minutes.
  6. While warm, roll the cookies in powdered sugar to coat.
