Nutty Brown Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 c. uncooked brown rice
  • 1 c. green onions with tops, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. nuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Saute rice and onions in butter until golden.
  2. Stir in broth and salt.
  3. Bring to a boil; stir once.
  4. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid absorbed.
  5. Add nuts; toss lightly.
  6. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
