- Chop 4 squares of chocolate and set aside.
- Mix melted margarine with chocolate cookie crumbs.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a foil-lined 9-inch square pan.
- Spread caramel topping over the cookie crumb crust.
- Pour milk into a medium bowl and add vanilla instant pudding mix.
- Beat with a whisk for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Let stand for 5 minutes, then fold in thawed Cool Whip, chopped chocolate, and peanuts.
- Spread the pudding mixture over the caramel topping.
- Freeze for 4 hours or until firm.
- Melt the remaining chocolate with 3 tablespoons of margarine.
- Spread the melted chocolate over the pudding layer.
- Chocolate will harden immediately.
- Lift the dessert from the pan using the foil handles.
- Cut into bars and serve.
