Oatmeal Honey Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 c. quick cooking oats
  • 1/3 c. sweet cream butter
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. (1/4 oz.) active dry yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 1/4 to 7 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. water

Instructions

  10. Cool to warm.
  11. Stir in yeast. Add eggs and 2 1/2 cups flour. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often until smooth, 1 to 2 minutes.

  18. dough out on lightly floured surface.

  22. and elastic, about 10 minutes. Add

  29. in greased bowl.
  30. Turn greased side up.
  31. Cover and let rise in warm place until double in size, about 1 hour.
