Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup oleo
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 (10 oz.) jar red raspberry preserves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal

Instructions

  1. Combine oleo and brown sugar until creamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, soda, and oatmeal; mix until the mixture is crumbly.
  3. Press half of the mixture into a greased 13x9-inch pan to form the crust.
  4. Spread the raspberry preserves evenly over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining mixture over the preserves.
  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool, cut into bars, and serve.
