Okra With Rice

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bacon, diced
  • 1 lb. okra, sliced in rounds
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c. instant rice (uncooked)
  • 2 c. broth (chicken or beef)
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon until crisp.
  2. Remove and reserve.
  3. To bacon grease add onion and okra and saute.
  4. Then add rice, seasoning and broth and bring to boil.
  5. Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
