Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups milk, scalded

  • 1/4 cup oleo
  • nutmeg
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Blend eggs and sugar; add salt and vanilla.
  2. Slowly add scalded milk, while stirring.
  3. Pour into a pastry-lined 9-inch pie shell.
  4. Sprinkle with nutmeg and dot with butter.
  5. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes or until firm.
  6. It will set some more as it cools.
