Old Time Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. cooked pumpkin (fresh or canned)
  • 2 c. cream or half and half

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs well; add sugar, spices, salt and pumpkin.
  2. Next, add cream until well blended.
  3. Pour into two unbaked pie shells. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
  4. Lower heat to 350° and bake 30 minutes longer.
  5. Good plain or with whipped cream.
