Ingredients

  • 6 egg whites
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice or orange flower water or Kirsch
  • 4 Tbsp. powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Beat the egg whites to a stiff froth.
  3. Beat the egg yolks and powdered sugar to a cream.
  4. Add lemon juice, orange flower water, or Kirsch to the yolk mixture.
  5. Carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture.
  6. Quickly heap the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes until the top is a delicate brown.
  8. Serve immediately as it will fall if allowed to stand.
