Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 package dry onion soup
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 small head cabbage

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground chuck in a skillet and drain off the grease.
  2. Add the uncooked rice and dry onion soup mix to the meat.
  3. Line the bottom of a casserole dish with chopped cabbage.
  4. Cover the cabbage with the meat and rice mixture.
  5. Add another layer of chopped cabbage on top.
  6. Pour tomato sauce over the layers and add enough water to cover the top layer.
  7. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour, or until the liquid has been absorbed and the cabbage is tender.
