Ingredients

  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 small jar oil cured olives, pitted
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • dried crushed red pepper
  • 8 oz mozzarella, cubed
  • about 1 tsp sugar
  • pizza dough
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Slice onions and sauté in a frying pan with sugar, salt, and pepper until transparent but still crunchy, ensuring all water evaporates.
  2. Roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread the cooked onions and pitted olives evenly over the dough.
  4. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Cover with cubed mozzarella cheese.
  6. Fold the sides of the dough inward and roll it up jelly roll style.
  7. Place the rolled dough seam side down on a cookie sheet.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 40 minutes or until browned.
