Orange Crisps

Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. orange juice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. orange rind
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening, gradually add sugar and orange juice.
  2. Cream well.
  3. Add egg and orange rind. Sift flour, salt and soda.
  4. Add to creamed mixture a little at a time.
  5. Fill cookie press.
  6. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet, 10 to 12 minutes, at 400°.
  7. Yields 7 dozen.
