Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 2/3 cup cooking oil
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup orange juice

Instructions

  1. Mix the yellow cake mix, eggs, water, and cooking oil together until well combined.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, melt the butter or margarine.
  5. Add powdered sugar and orange juice to the melted butter, stirring until smooth and all ingredients are incorporated.
  6. Remove the cake from the oven while hot, and punch holes in the cake with a fork.
  7. Slowly pour the orange glaze over the hot cake, allowing it to seep into the holes and flavor the cake.
