Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. chicken wings
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (18 oz.) bottle barbecue sauce
  • 3/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange rind
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

Instructions

  1. Split chicken wings at each joint and discard tips; pat dry. Season wings with salt and pepper.
  2. Place wings on a broiler pan. Bake at 400°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
  3. Combine barbecue sauce, orange juice, Worcestershire sauce, orange rind, ground cloves, and crushed garlic in a saucepan. Heat to boiling, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Brush the sauce over the cooked wings.
