Ingredients

  • 7 oranges
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup orange liqueur
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • Juice of 1 orange

Instructions

  1. Boil the zest from one orange in water for 5 minutes.
  2. Drain and dry the orange zest.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  4. Add sugar and orange liqueur to the melted butter.
  5. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Add the orange zest and juice of one orange to the sauce.
  7. Simmer the mixture until it reaches medium thickness.
  8. Peel and slice the remaining oranges into 1/3-inch thick slices.
  9. Arrange the orange slices overlapping on a serving platter.
  10. Sprinkle walnuts over the orange slices.
  11. Pour the sauce over the orange slices and serve.
