Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using a high-quality butter. You can substitute reduced-fat cream cheese for a lighter version, but the texture may be slightly different. To crush the cookies more easily, place them in a zip-top bag and use a rolling pin. For a fun twist, add a layer of chopped nuts or chocolate chips between the layers.

Serving Suggestions

Serve chilled, and consider pairing it with fresh berries or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for added flavor. This dessert is perfect for gatherings and can be cut into squares for easy serving. It pairs beautifully with Berry Special Muffins for a delightful brunch spread.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. The dessert can also be frozen for up to a month; just be sure to wrap it tightly to prevent freezer burn. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving again.
