Ingredients

  • 3 to 5 lb beef chuck roast, flat cut
  • A.1. sauce
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix, dry
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can water

Instructions

  1. In a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan, place heavy-duty foil enough to wrap around the roast and seal.
  2. Rub the roast on all sides with A.1. sauce. Set the roast on the foil in the pan.
  3. Mix together the dry onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, and water, then pour over the roast.
  4. Seal the foil tightly across the top and at the ends.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
  6. Serve with buttered noodles.
