Ingredients

  • 3/4 stick butter
  • 1 pint small oysters
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pint milk
  • oyster crackers

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.
  2. Wash all grit off oysters.
  3. Add oysters into the hot butter and simmer a few minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add a pint of milk and bring to a near boil.
  6. Boil briefly and serve immediately with oyster crackers.
