Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Progresso crumbs
  • 1 quart oysters
  • 3 or 4 garlic pods
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup white wine
  • Parmesan cheese
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Make a batter of eggs and milk.
  2. Add a little mustard and sugar to the batter.
  3. Stir well with a fork or whisk.
  4. Add salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce to the batter.
  5. Set the batter aside.
  6. Prepare the garlic by peeling and chopping 3 or 4 pods.
  7. In a skillet, melt 1 stick of butter and cook the garlic until fragrant.
  8. Add 1 cup of white wine to the skillet and simmer.
  9. Drain the oysters and dip them into the batter.
  10. Roll the battered oysters in Progresso crumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese and paprika.
  11. Arrange the coated oysters on a baking dish.
  12. Bake until golden and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.
