Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 1/2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons shortening

Instructions

  1. Mix milk, oil, vinegar, and onion salt in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine biscuit mix and cornmeal.
  3. Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and blend with a fork.
  4. Form the mixture into a ball and knead 10 times.
  5. Shape into balls and flatten with your hand.
  6. Cook in shortening in a skillet over medium-low heat until browned on both sides and cooked through.
