Parmesan-Herb Bread

A flavorful garlic bread topped with Parmesan and herbs, then broiled until golden, finished with roasted red peppers for a vibrant, cheesy appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 (12-inch) loaf Italian bread
  • 1/4 cup roasted red peppers, drained and sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, grated Parmesan, dried parsley flakes, and garlic powder.
  3. Slice the Italian bread horizontally in half.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly on both cut sides of the bread.
  5. Place the bread, cut sides up, on a cookie sheet.
  6. Broil the bread 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese mixture is golden and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the broiler.
  8. Sprinkle roasted red peppers over the top of the bread.
  9. Cut each half into 4 pieces.
