Parmesan Topped Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. asparagus, trimmed and peeled
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Blanch asparagus in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Arrange spears in a shallow ovenproof serving dish.
  5. Pour melted butter over asparagus.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  7. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the top.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
