Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Blanch asparagus in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Arrange spears in a shallow ovenproof serving dish.
- Pour melted butter over asparagus.
- Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Sprinkle cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
